Craig Jones

Statement

Craig L. Jones is a graphite artist currently living in the Church Hill area of Richmond, Virginia. He came to RVA in 2017 via his hometown of Winchester, Virginia.

He is a self-taught artist after beginning to draw at just 6 years old in Winchester.

Craig started learning and developing his own style of graphite art over a fifteen-year period and is still developing.  He has participated in a handful of showings, including Family Day Arts & Crafts (held in various prison settings).   Craig’s work was featured at the Shenandoah Arts Council in the exhibition, ‘A View from the Inside’ in Winchester, Virginia.  Recently, his work was showcased in the Dooley Hall at the Richmond Public Library during Black History Month 2022.

Craig has survived several disturbing events in his life.  His faith in God and the ability to create art has sustained him over the years.
